As part of the Afya Bora Walk which was flagged off from Mombasa on 22nd June 2009, we organized a medical camp at Emali to extend ‘Afya Bora’ to the people living in the town and its environs.

Emali is a small town situated about 120 km from Nairobi along the Mombasa Highway. It has a population of over 21,000 people and has no government hospital yet. The health needs of the people are attended to at Sultan Hamud or Makindu. The main diseases diagnosed were Malaria, URTI, Worms/Helminthiasis, Skin Diseases, Diarrhoea Diseases (Amoebiasis/Giardiasis/Salmonellosis), Eye Infections, S.T.I, Malnutrition, Fungal Infections (Tinea Capits/ Cruris). We to attended to over 2,000 people and extended our services to dental and optical.
